LEAD (Leadership Education and Social Development) Organization was founded in 2002 with a mission to empower communities and promote sustainable development in Balochistan. Over the years, LEAD has been at the forefront of initiatives in education, health, skill development, WASH, and livelihood enhancement, focusing on marginalized and underserved populations. In 2023, the organization achieved a significant milestone by officially registering with the Balochistan Charities Registration Authority (BCRA), further strengthening its capacity to
Expand its outreach and impact. This registration underscores LEAD’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and its vision of fostering socio-economic progress across the region.
However in 2013 as LEAD (Leadership Education and Social Development) registered under the societies Act No 1860. LEAD Balochistan with new Vigor and passion is guided by a vision of a society where poorest of poor and marginalized , socially excluded and never reachable are empowered to overcome their miseries / poverty , social , political and economic burdens and enjoy equal human rights and opportunities to lead life of dignity and self-fulfillment . to achieve such gigantic task and multi-dimensional vision LEAD Balochistan as an NGO may be the sole remedial force.it would need to pursue the strengthening of intra –organizational capacities through partnerships ,alliances building , advocacy efforts ,Technical skills ,campaign and program cooperation at operational as well as policy levels.
We had a productive meeting with the Honorable Chief Minister of Balochistan to discuss key initiatives related to youth leadership and empowerment. During the discussion, we highlighted the need for stronger platforms that can nurture young talent across the province, offering them opportunities in skill development, civic engagement, and leadership training. The meeting ended on a positive note, with a mutual understanding to work collaboratively for the betterment of youth in Balochistan.
At LEAD Organization, we are committed to building resilient and empowered communities through inclusive development and sustainable solutions.
We work to support communities in accessing clean drinking water, improved health, hygiene, and sanitation, ensuring healthier lives for all—especially in vulnerable areas.
Education is at the heart of our work. We promote quality education, particularly for girls, through awareness campaigns and community advocacy, empowering the next generation to lead with confidence.
To reduce poverty and enhance livelihoods, LEAD provides technical assistance and income-generating opportunities, enabling communities to become economically self-reliant.
We actively participate in Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) efforts in collaboration with government and non-governmental organizations, helping communities prepare for and recover from natural disasters.
LEAD also focuses on capacity building of both government officials and development professionals, enhancing the effectiveness of public services and development programs.
Through Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), we equip youth and adults with the skills needed for employment, entrepreneurship, and long-term economic growth.
Together, we are creating opportunities, reducing risks, and driving change—for a better, safer, and more empowered future.
After the devastating floods in Balochistan, the LEAD Organization established Women and Child-Friendly Spaces (WCFS) to support vulnerable women and children affected by the disaster. These spaces offer a safe, protective, and supportive environment where women and children can access essential services and begin emotional recovery.
WCFS provides psychosocial support, recreational and learning activities, and awareness sessions on health, hygiene, child protection, and women’s rights. Children engage in informal education and play-based activities, helping restore a sense of normalcy. Women receive counseling and information on protection services, including referrals for medical and legal support when needed.
These spaces also serve as platforms for community engagement, encouraging women's participation in recovery and resilience-building efforts. The goal is to empower flood-affected communities and reduce risks such as gender-based violence, exploitation, and neglect.
Through WCFS, LEAD ensures that protection, dignity, and inclusion remain central to its humanitarian response. By focusing on the needs of women and children, LEAD is helping communities recover with strength and resilience.
